2026–2027 Cyber Security Club
Are you ready to step into the world of ethical hacking, network defense, and real-world software engineering? The Codecraft Cyber Security Club is a student-first, opt-in community where local teens turn curiosity into hands-on skill. The program is open to students in grades 6 – 12.
Whether you are looking to defend systems, crack cybersecurity challenges, or build a strong portfolio for college and careers, this is your gateway to real-world tech experience.
What We Do: Core Competitions, Training & Certifications
Our weekend club sessions prepare members to compete on national stages and earn industry-recognized skills through hands-on practice, peer collaboration, and mentor guidance.
- CyberPatriot: The National Youth Cyber Education Program created by the Air & Space Forces Association. Members learn how to secure operating systems (Windows, Linux) and harden networks against simulated vulnerabilities during multi-round national competitions.
- National Cyber League (NCL): A collegiate and high school cybersecurity competition that simulates real-world cybersecurity tasks. Students solve challenges in cryptography, log analysis, web application security, open-source intelligence, and forensics.
- CodeQuest & CyberQuest: Premier high school coding and cybersecurity competitions hosted by Lockheed Martin. Students tackle complex algorithmic programming challenges and defense scenarios in a fast-paced environment.
- Industry Certification Pathways: Gain direct access to technical training for recognized certifications through our organizational partnerships across Cybersecurity, Software Programming, and Artificial Intelligence.
Beyond the Lab:
Field Trips & Exclusive Industry Events
Learning doesn’t just happen behind a monitor. Codecrafters gain exclusive, direct access to aerospace, defense, and higher-education environments:
- SunshineCTF (Orlando, FL): An action-packed, live Capture the Flag (CTF) competition hosted at Full Sail University. Students travel to Orlando to compete against high school and college teams in solving complex security puzzles.
- Lockheed Martin Field Trips & Events: On-site visits and immersion opportunities where students tour advanced tech facilities, explore hardware-software engineering, and interact with working engineers.
- L3Harris Immersion Days: Hands-on industry days featuring corporate AI tools (like LHXgpt and Palantir’s AIP Chatbot Studio), high-precision machine shop tours, and direct mentorship from early-career role models, engineers, and executive leadership.
Schedule & Locations
(2026–2027 Season)
We offer a comprehensive, program designed to fit into busy student schedules.
- Season Duration: September 12, 2026 – May 1, 2027
- Meeting Days: 1 Saturday, sometimes 2, per month
- Practice Sessions: Typically 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Competition Days: Typically 10:00 AM – 2:30 PM (or 4:00 PM)
- Locations: Meetings will tentatively rotate between convenient Brevard County locations depending on the specific activity.

Who Can Participate?
- Open to: All local middle and high school students (Brevard County). Space is limited based on meeting and seating capacity.
- Experience Required: None! Whether you are a total beginner or an experienced programmer, we provide step-by-step coaching and mentorship.
- Equipment Required: A modern laptop with the ability to run a Virtual Machine. We’re happy to point you at suggested hardware specifications. We don’t want this to be a blocker for anyone, so if you have this, let’s talk anyway.
- The Mindset: Membership is completely voluntary. This club is built for students who want to be here, learn by doing, and challenge themselves. Once you join, we need you to attend, to show up consistently. You’re team is counting on you and seats in the meetings are limited.
